[ Spam : Open ]

[A lot has happened in the past couple years. Not just to Liam Stewart and his family, his brother, his sister, but to everyone under the age of eighteen when it all started and everyone that ever loved them. So, you know, pretty much everyone. It's had a way of focusing what really matters, and of sweeping a lot of what would have been considered sanity before right out the window. It's had a way of forcing the survivors to be readily able and willing to accept quickly changing, impossible circumstances as the new reality.

When Liam wakes up on the Barge, this new adaptability goes into overdrive. The good news is he's not a Red or a Yellow, so nothing burns down and the electricity stays exactly where it is, but that's about all that can be said for several minutes.

The first glimpses others might get of him, he's slipping out of Ruby's cabin, glancing both ways down the hall and doing his very best to appear completely normal. This, as it happens, succeeds in making him highly suspicious but at least he smiles nice, nods easily enough, and does his best to hide his nerves. That doesn't work either but after a while he starts to settle to it. He starts to notice patterns. Familiar patterns.

That's when he starts to explore in earnest, anywhere he can get into, any door that isn't locked, and if for a while the first reaction he has to seeing anyone else is along the lines of a deer standing at the edge of headlight glare, well. That goes away soon enough. He's determined to help, to find a way to help, to back Ruby up even though he can't so much as talk to her.]

[ Video : Public ]

[By the time Liam gets bold enough to try the network - and there is a reason Chubs always called him the General: he is the boldest of the group when it comes right down to it - he's grinning lopsidedly and easily and this time he can sell it because he's not selling anything. He's found his stride, clean but shaggy blonde hair falling into his pale blue eyes, his pronounced Southern drawl warming his voice.]

First thing's first: I'm Liam, and you'll know my better half, Ruby, better'n you know me. I wouldn't be surprised if most of you don't know who I'm talking about. She's one of a kind, and that kind doesn't much like the spotlight. Anyway.

Mostly, I wanted to talk to who's really in charge here. I know what the rules say. I got the lecture. But what does a guy really need to know about how things run?

comments
